Anyone who knows me, knows that I love all things health, beauty, and of course dating and relationships.

As a licensed Esthetician and make up artist, I relish in a good conversation about skin care, health, and make up. So, I thought, why not create a space here to discuss these more lighter subjects.

Also, as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, one of the most prominent topics I discuss with clients are the ins and outs of relationships, whether that’s family, romantic or friendship. Healthy communication habits, conflict resolution, and DTR’s (defining the relationship) are just some of the many things we deal with on a regular basis.

Although I’m calling this page, Girl Talk, it is definitely not only for us girls, since a lot of these topics will relate just as much to guys (especially those DTR’s—you need all the help you can get with those—anyone with me?)

Feel free to write comments, and give suggestions for anything you’d like to talk more about!

Could Authentic Community Be a Solution to Anxiety?

Have you ever experienced that pit-in-your-stomach type of worry, or found yourself nervously biting off your newly manicured nails? Or how about hiding out in a bathroom stall because you were so overwhelmed and couldn’t catch your breath? These are all common human experiences that for many happen every day, and often make living life

To The New Girl

How many of us have sheepishly walked into a social event as the “new girl” with our hearts beating out of our chest as we clung to our phones for some semblance of comfort and security? One of my good friends and I had a conversation recently around this topic of making new friends, and

The Skinny on Coconut Oil

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I cannot count the times I’ve heard friends and strangers alike talk about how they’re “going natural” with their skin care routines. These routines usually consist of lathering coconut oil on their skin and scrubbing their faces with sugar or coffee grinds (insert wincing face here). I’ll give coconut oil

Movement For Your Soul By: Kendall Young

She walks into the studio averting her eyes from the mirror stretching across the front of the room. Dipping her chin she glances discreetly at her companions for the next 60 minutes. Refreshingly diverse for the boutique fitness world, she feels a little bit of her unease subside as she notices these other people are
